What Do the Moon Phases Mean?

Ever wonder why you are experiencing different emotions through out the month? Yes, the shifting of the planets in general have a great bearing on it. However the phases of the Moon will affect your emotions. The Moon rules your emotions, fluids, feminine side, and nurturing. There are eight Moon phases and the first one I will talk about is the New Moon.

The New Moon always marks a time of new beginnings. The New Moon corresponds with the sign of Aries, and we will experience a time to start fresh, depending on what it is. If there has been a project you have been wanting to get to, during a New Moon is an excellent time to go after it and start what you have wanted to do. Those who were born under a New Moon have a streak of being the initiator, leader and are the types to always make a fresh start. One negative aspect about the New Moon person is stubborness and too much assertiveness could be a problem if not controlled. Next Moon phase I will discuss is the Crescent Moon.

The Crescent Moon marks a time to take advantage of new opportunities. This Moon phase corresponds with Gemini. Under this phase, you will be inclined to work on any creative projects you have, to write, and to take up hew opportunities that come your way. Those who were born under this Moon phase are outgoing, creative and are always looking for opportunities in a situation whether it’s positive or negative. Crescent Moon people are often thought of as optimists, however if their other stars are not aspected well, the optimism may not be seen but the creativity will. One negative aspect of the Crescent Moon person is the fact that they become stuck with an opinion based on learning something and not letting it go. I will now talk about the First Quarter Moon.

The First Quarter Moon marks a time when it is time to build upon these opportunities and to start making you dreams come true. This Moon phase corresponds with Cancer, and Cancers are emotional but also excellent planners. This is a time to be ambitious, and those who were born under a First Quarter Moon are known to be ambitious and hard workers. They are also excellent with problem solving. However the negative side of this is those born under this phase are known to be argumentative if they are hooked on an idea and are stressed due to feeling compelled to complete a project in a short time. They are hard workers so they will get short with you every now and then. Next Moon phase I will cover is the Gibbous Moon.

The Gibbous Moon marks a time to be constructive, caring and to help others. This Moon phase corresponds with the sign Virgo. Those who were born under this Moon phase will be naturally caring, will be of service, constructive and have a desire to be of help to the world somehow. The only negative side about those who were born under this Moon phase will be obsessive in their endeavors and may even feel they are not doing enough. They are on a mission to make the world a better place, but they need to learn to take it one step at a time. They will complete their missions quicker that way. I will now examine the Full Moon.

The Full Moon marks a time to bring out awareness and to make important decisions. This phase corresponds with the sign Libra. Everything comes to a head during the Full Moon, and we realize this is a time to make a change or leave how things were in your life. Those who were born under a Full Moon tend to be known as peacemakers and tend to see the other side of the coin and can easily put themselves into someone else’s shoes. The one challenge that is frequently faced is indecisiveness, and not being assertive enough. They need to learn how to bring balance into doing their job but not to be walked on either. I will now examine the Disseminating Moon phase.

The Disseminating Moon phase is a time to bring out the knowledge you have accumulated over the past few weeks, or any kind of knowledge. This is a time to teach but to keep quiet when it comes to ideas that you are not sure about. This phase corresponds with Scorpio. Those who were born under the Disseminating Moon are known to be teachers, and are knowledgeable, but tend to also be secretive. The one negative aspect of those who were born under this Moon phase are the fact that if they tell you what they know, they may become know-it-alls. And they may become quite stubborn about what they teach. They need to loosen up and realize that even though they have rich knowledge, others also would like to share what they know and there is validity to what they say. Next Moon phase is the Last Quarter.

The Last Quarter Moon is the second last Moon phase, and this is a time to complete old projects and become serious with keeping on task. This phase corresponds with the sign Capricorn. Those who are born under this phase are known to be quite creative, ambitious, are also quite knowledgeable but feel pressured. They tend to not concentrate on the “now” and want to complete what they want to get done so they can plan for the future. These people are prone to depression, high strung behavior and feeling not good enough if they don’t feel they have achieved what they had felt that they should. They need to learn to take one step at a time, and that is a huge challenge for those born under the Last Quarter Moon. Last Moon phase is the Balsamic Moon.

The Balsamic Moon is the last Moon phase before the New Moon appears again. This is the time to retreat and to be contemplative, and really understand what you want to start in your life to correspond with the upcoming New Moon. This phase is associated with Pisces. Those who were born under a Balsamic Moon are known to be dreamy, have a need to be in private, to contemplate, but are quite creative. The negative side about those who were born under this phase is that these people can be high strung and emotional, and irrational. When they feel those emotions coming on, it is important that they take time to themselves to meditate for find other ways to calm. That concludes the Moon phases and up comes again, the New Moon!
